Vaccines

We live in a rural area and many diseases that we vaccinate against still exist in our wildlife population. Protecting your pet against preventable diseases is a key component to keeping them healthy. Each pet has individual exposure to disease and will have a vaccination schedule designed to suit his unique needs.

Rabies vaccination of all dogs and cats is mandated in Minnesota. This applies to all pets, even cats that never leave the house.

All animals receiving vaccinations at Root River Veterinary Center, regardless of age, receive a “nose to tail” physical examination by a veterinarian to assure that they are healthy enough to be vaccinated.
